    FRP reinforcement Kimitech PLATE system

    Kimitech PLATE it is used for the structural reinforcement of beams and joists in r.c., wood and steel, for the consolidation or reinforcement of vaults and masonry elements in general. Kimitech PLATE is a carbon fiber plate prepreg with epoxy resin. The pultruded plate, available in different widths, is suitable for the structural consolidation of works in r.c., prestressed r.c., wood, masonry and steel. It is particularly suitable for the plating of predominantly inflexible elements.
    Specifikation
    • Repair, reinforcement, or seismic retrofitting of concrete, masonry, or wooden structures with the installation of pultruded carbon fiber sheets, equipped with CVT for FRP systems. The process includes the following application phases: cleaning the substrate with complete removal of inconsistent parts, filling any cracks with suitable mortars. If the surface where the reinforcement is to be applied is very uneven, smooth it out with suitable mortars. Apply Kimicover FIX, a two-component, water-dispersed synthetic resin primer by Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product to the treated surface, followed by a first coat of Kimitech EP-TX, a two-component, thixotropic epoxy resin-based adhesive by Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product, CE marked as a structural bond according to EN 1504-4. The adhesive must have the following characteristics: complete hardening at 25°C: 7 days; 1-day flexural strength ASTM D790: > 16 MPa; bond strength UNI EN 1542: > 18 MPa; adhesion to concrete: > 3 MPa. Applicazione della lamina Kimitech PLATE della Kimia S.p.A. o prodotto similare. Per applicarla pulire con solvente EPOX della Kimia S.p.A. o similare, effettuare una leggera scartavetratura sul lato di applicazione, depolverare e stendere su questo stesso lato, con una spatola piana, uno strato uniforme di adesivo epossidico tipo Kimitech EP-TX o similari. Il sistema di rinforzo così realizzato risulterà in possesso di CVT e rientrerà nelle classi identificative secondo le procedure di qualificazione dei sistemi di rinforzo realizzati in situ al punto 5.2 delle “Linea Guida per la identificazione, la qualificazione ed il controllo di accettazione di compositi fibrorinforzati a matrice polimerica (FRP) da utilizzarsi per il consolidamento strutturale di costruzioni esistenti”. È compresa la fornitura e posa in opera di tutti i materiali sopra descritti e quanto altro occorre per dare il lavoro finito.
