    Kimitech VR are unidirectional fiberglass reinforcement fabrics with a grammage of 300 g/sqm, specific for structural interventions. Kimitech VR 300 fabrics are used to consolidate reinforced concrete, wood and masonry elements and reinforcements of reed-and-plaster vaults.
    Specifikation
    • Repair, reinforcement, or seismic retrofitting of concrete and masonry structures using an FRP system equipped with a CVT. The process includes the following application steps: cleaning the substrate, completely removing any loose parts, rounding any edges, and filling any cracks with suitable mortars. Application on the treated surface of a primer based on two-component synthetic resin in water dispersion Kimicover FIX by Kimia S.p.A. or similar product. Apply a bonding layer of Kimitech CMP epoxy resin by Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product, using a brush or roller, directly onto the substrate. Apply Kimitech VR glass fiber fabric of the chosen weight and texture while still fresh. Impregnation is performed while still fresh with Kimitech CMP two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin by Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product, applied in several coats using a brush or roller. The bonding and impregnation resin must have the following characteristics: frost time: 25 minutes; complete cure at 25°C: 7 days; compressive strength after 7 days ASTM D695-02a: > 50 MPa; maximum tensile stress ASTM D 638: > 30 MPa; tensile modulus ASTM D 638: 1760 MPa. The product will be CE marked as a structural bonding product according to EN 1504-4. The strengthening system thus created will have a CVT and will fall within the identification classes according to the qualification procedures for strengthening systems created on site in point 5.2 of the “Guidelines for the identification, qualification and acceptance control of fiber-reinforced polymer matrix (FRP) composites to be used for the structural strengthening of existing buildings”. The supply and installation of all the materials described above and anything else needed to complete the work are included, excluding anchors which are calculated separately.
