Tadano 50-Ton Truck Mounted Crane Series: Precision, Power, and Extended Reach
Whether you need the compact versatility of the 128-foot boom models or the extended reach of the 155-foot configurations—including the TC50155HL heavy-lift variant—every crane in this series is engineered around the same commitment to speed, operator comfort, and reliable monitoring technology.
Boom Reach and Configuration Flexibility
Across the series, boom construction features inverted T-cross section design with self-lubricating wear pads for low-maintenance, long-term reliability. Operating angles span from 5° below horizontal to 75° above, giving operators broad positional flexibility on site. The 128-foot models deliver a maximum jib tip height of 185 ft, while the 155-foot models extend that capability to 202 ft. All models share a minimum boom length of 38.5 ft and a maximum outrigger spread of 23.3 ft. Optional offsetting jibs—available in 1-section (39 ft) or 2-section (32–49 ft) configurations with 0°, 15°, and 30° offset positions—further expand versatility for working around obstacles, with one-man jib jack setup keeping rigging time to a minimum.
All-Weather Operator Comfort
The enclosed deluxe cab features automotive-style door entry, standard diesel-fired heating, and a heated cloth seat with eight-way adjustment, lumbar support, and adjustable headrest. Sliding windows, a retractable sun screen, and a pop-out rear window allow operators to adapt to changing site conditions. Four pilot-operated single-axis joysticks deliver precise load metering for smooth, controlled load placement.
Comprehensive Load Monitoring and Safety
All models feature a CAN bus Load Moment Indicator (LMI) with external boom length sensing cable, providing continuous monitoring of cylinder pressure, boom angle, and boom geometry. The integrated graphical display includes an event recorder and WADS (Work Area Definition System) for defined, controlled lift zones. The continuous rotation swing system with dual braking—spring-applied parking brake and foot-operated dynamic service brake—supports tandem lift operations and efficient load positioning.
