Chief Tempo™ Flat Panel In-Wall Single-Box Mount System

The Chief Tempo™ Flat Panel In-Wall Single-Box Mount System is the newest member of the Tempo in-wall family, combining the display mount, in-wall equipment storage, and service access into a single integrated enclosure rather than the multi-box arrangement used by the standard Tempo In-Wall Mount System. It was introduced in 2026 and is engineered to fit within standard 16 in on-center stud framing without requiring studs to be cut, which simplifies the rough-in work for framers and electricians ahead of the AV install.

The system follows a two-stage installation workflow that matches how commercial construction actually sequences: the enclosure is roughed in and secured to the studs early in the build, before drywall goes up, and the display itself is mounted and commissioned later as a separate stage once finishes are complete. This lets the electrical and AV trades work independently without waiting on each other. Once the display is installed, the mount supports post-installation correction for leveling, plumb, and lateral shift, and — consistent with the rest of the Tempo family — provides a service extension of up to 10.65 in so a single technician can pull the display forward out of the wall to access cabling or stored components without removing it entirely.

Inside the single enclosure, Lever Lock™ storage panels give installers a place to secure a media player or similar low-voltage component, and knockouts on all sides of the box allow flexible conduit and cable routing to be planned around the specific site. The system is UL 2442 Listed for installation in both metal and wood stud construction. Complete published dimensions, weight, and load-capacity figures were not yet available on the manufacturer’s site at the time this page was built, since the product line launched only days earlier; this page will be updated once full specifications are published.

Chief positions the Single-Box system for small-to-medium displays in landscape or portrait orientation, aimed particularly at commercial and higher-education construction projects where simplifying the in-wall AV rough-in to a single box — installed in one trade pass — reduces coordination between framing, electrical, and AV crews.
