LITEX MEMBRANE SYSTEM WITH FIBRE PLASTER
Litex Membrane System has Technical Approval from SINTEF Byggforsk and uses both new buildings and renovations.
LITEX MEMBRANE BOARD
Litex Membrane board can be plastered and painted if you do not want a tiled surface. The thickness of the fibre plaster should be min. 8 mm to meet fire- and impact requirements, instead of installing tiles.
LITEX SELF-ADHESIVE JOINTING STRIP AND PIPE COLLAR
Litex self-adhesive bonding tape is an aluminum strip with butyl layers for sealing wall and corner joints and wall-through holes. Liquid membrane is not required.
PRIMER
Apply primer that will provide good adhesion for attachment. The boards which are to be plastered should be coated with a mixture of primer 1:1 with water.
FIBRE PLASTER / REINFORCEMENT MESH
Between the floor and the wall, install a starting strip or Litex MS polymer sealant joint to prevent capillary migration of water in the plaster surface. Fibre plaster is applied with 5-6 mm thickness before adding the reinforcement mesh. This reinforcement should be in the middle of the plaster layers.
On the external corners a reinforcement corner is used for fibre plaster. After the plaster has settled, it is moistened before applying the final plaster to a thickness of 3-5 mm. The plaster should stand for at least 1 week before painting (a moisture measurement should be performed).
PLASTERING AND PAINTING
After the fibre plaster is dry, it can be plastered and painted for a smooth surface.
