FAAC J355 HA M50 Emergency Fast Operation (EFO) bollard is certified for the use in perimeter security; it has been purposely designed for the protection of sensitive areas, such as airports embassies, consulates, banks, harbors, etc.
FAAC J355 HA M50 EFO bollard has been tested according to PAS 68:2013 Impact test specifications for vehicle security barrier systems and IWA 14-1:2013 - Vehicle security barriers - Part 1: Performance requirement, vehicle impact test method and performance rating.
FAAC J355 HA M50 EFO bollard is able to stop a 7.500kg truck at a speed of 80Km/h (=50M/h).
Emergency Fast Operation device (EFO) guarantees a very rapid rising speed (2s) to increase the offered protection. FAAC J355 HA M50 EFO main features are:
1. Tested according to PAS 68:2013 and IWA 14-1:2013

Hydraulic Automatic retractable HIGH SECURITY BOLLARD FAAC J355 HA M50 Emergency Fast Operation (EFO), crash tested in accordance to PAS 68: and IWA 14-1:2013.

Perimeter protection of sensitive areas.

FAAC J355 HA M50 EFO bollard is made by a S355JR EN 10210 steel cylinder height 1.200mm off ground, diameter 355mm, thickness 30mm, with built-in reinforcement disks and surface anti-corrosive treatment in cataphoresis and polyester powder painted, or with additional jacket AISI 316L satin stainless steel.
The support structure is in reinforced steel. The bollard and the support structure are placed into a pit that sits in the foundation. All internal fixing frames are made of stainless steel, to prevent corrosion.
The cylinder head and ground crown are realized in AISI304 stainless steel
An auxiliary Emergency Fast Operation circuit option is available. EFO is a distinct hydraulic circuit, that provides the power to operate the Bollard at emergency fast speed (as below specified).
FAAC J355 HA M50 EFO Bollard is designed to stop a 18.000 Kg 2-axle truck (nominal test vehicle mass 7.500kg), running at 80Km/hour.
Global bollard protection rate of the hydraulic unit is IP67.
Bollard speed on normal duty:
Rising time ~6 sec. / Lowering time ~3 sec.
Speed on emergency conditions EFO unit activation:
Rising time 2.0 sec. / Lowering time ~3 sec.
Bollard cannot be lowered until the EFO emergency is reset.
The above operation time must be kept constant on defined duty cycle.
Cylinder above ground is visible on all environment conditions, having a 55mm reflecting strip all around the cylinder and LED lights that flash when bollard moves and stay permanently ON when upraised.
Hydraulic drive unit is integrated into the bollard structure, supplied at 230AC – 50/60Hz
In case of power failure, while the cylinder is upraised, it must remain in high position.

The bollard is installed in a dedicated pit complete with counter-frame and drainage set up.

It’s supplied with 230VAC voltage – 50/60Hz.
The control board is external and must manage one bollard, equipped with a built-in dual loop detector and includes programmable logic and provides all commands for normal operation.
To link the bollard and the control board, a 16+1 conductors -min 1,5mm section- cable shall be employed.

Bollard shall be fully operational within following conditions:
Operating temperature -15 °C / +55 °C
Operating temperature with heater (accessory) -40 °C / +55 °C

The cylinder finishing can be:
- Cataphoresis and polyester powder painted Dark grey metallised
- Stainless steel satin finishing

A Pit heater can be added, to operate also at extreme low temperatures.
A manual release safety kit can be added to lower the cylinder in case of blackout.
