Seagull, bicycle shelter single sided, 10 bicycles

Like the wings of a bird, the roof of the Seagull bicycle shelter is made in an aerodynamic shape that appears to be lifting in flight. The overhead structure is crafted in streamlined supporting struts attached to a central girder and bolted to round supports. The roof is available as a single structure for sheltering one row of bicycles or as a double-sided design that stretches across two rows. Seagull is available in standard lengths of four, six and eight metres. Design: Kristofer Hansén.
Specification
  • Delivered in sections for final assembly on site.
Variants: Available with a single or double-side roof. The polycarbonate pieces forming the roof are available in thicker sizes if required.
Materials: The main supporting posts are made in solid steel. The roof supports are made in laser-cut steel with a thickness of 10 mm. The roof itself is made from Lexan Exell scratch-resistant polycarbonate plastic. The roof trim is made from anodized aluminum pipe with a diameter of 3 cm. The back section is made from reinforced glass with a depth of 6 mm. The glass grips are made from cast zinc. All steel parts are zinc-plated polyester powder-coated in standard colour black RAL 9005 with a shine ratio of 20-30. Other RAL colours are available upon request. All fixtures and fittings are made in rust-resistant metal.
Placement: The structural supports bolt to a concrete foundation or are extended to cast in concrete on site.
Maintenance: Scratches to the powder-coated steel finish can be repainted with alkyd oil enamel as needed.
