Aisle Containment Solutions

Siemon Aisle Containment Solutions are available in cold aisle containment (CAC) andhot aisle containment (HAC) with roof or vertical panels that can beeasily attached to Siemon VersaPOD, V800 and V600 cabinets in a podconfiguration to improve efficiency and expand the capacity of a datacenter. By either containing cold air supply to provide targeted coolingto active equipment and isolating it from the rest of the room (CAC),or by guiding hot air exhaust for efficient return to cooling systems(HAC), Siemon Aisle Containment Solutions prevent the mixing of hot andcold air in the data center. This allows higher temperature return airto improve the efficiency of existing cooling systems and reduce energycosts while preventing overprovisioning of air conditioning units. Thesepassive containment solutions also cost effectively increase capacityby allowing greater heat densities without costly supplemental cooling.Custom size panels, door kits and several accessories are available tomeet a wide variety of spaces and environments, including wall mountbrackets for installation of a single cabinet row against a wall andriser brackets for greater headroom when using 42U cabinets.

  • Hot aisle containment Standing Top and End Panels - Sized to match width of cabinet and height to suspended ceiling, these panels guide hot air to overhead air return.
  • Cold aisle containmentRoof Panels - These panels form a horizontal roof across the aisle to contain cold air for targeted cooling to active equipment.
  • Angled Support Brackets - Provide lateral support to vertically mounted HAC standing top panels
  • Self-closing or Manual Doors - Used to close off the end of the aisle with an integral frame design for smooth operation

Notes:

Angled Support Brackets

For supporting vertically mounted HAC top panels

Wall Mounting Brackets

Brackets to mount CAC roof panels to the wall when deploying containment for a single cabinet row

Filler Panels

These solid panels fill spaces where cabinets are not present, such as where columns or other obstructions exist.

Riser Brackets

These brackets are installed on top of cabinets in order to raiseroof panels and increase clearance in the cold aisle.Riser bracketscan aide in the installation of fire suppression systems within thecontained space. They are also useful to establish a uniform level whendiffering heights of cabinets are used in an aisle.
