COOMO is a modular sofa system distinguished by its thoughtful design: every single component can be replaced if needed. In a time when many things are short-lived, COOMO deliberately focuses on longevity. The covers can be removed and replaced with new fabrics in different colours or textures whenever desired. Upholstery and frame can also be renewed, as the individual parts are not glued together. Thanks to its material purity, all components can be easily separated and recycled. With three different modules – corner element, single element and pouf – a wide range of configurations can be created. These can be adapted or expanded at any time thanks to the modular concept, allowing for maximum flexibility tailored to space and use. COOMO Outdoor is the weather-resistant version and can be used in outdoor areas.

Product description

Backrest and seat element: The substructure made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) and a plywood plate. EPP is 100% recyclable and free from harmful substances. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, EPP is lightweight, shock-absorbing, and dimensionally stable.

Cover and upholstery: All upholstered elements are made of dimensionally stable polyurethane foam (PUR foam, 55 kg). In the outdoor version, an additional protective layer made of textile fibres prevents moisture from penetrating and thus contributes to the material’s weather resistance. An optional flame-retardant version is available in accordance with BS 5852 Part 2, Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5).  The covers are designed to be removable and are available in various fabric, imitation leather or leather collections. Colour configuration options: single colour or with optionally different seat and base upholstery .

Base: made of steel, powder-coated in black or clay matte.

Adjustment leg with universal glides: height adjustment range: +25 mm, suitable for all floor types.

Sectional connector: 2 pieces per COOMO module included in the scope of delivery. 

Options

USB-C charging port set

If required, the COOMO base can be equipped with a USB-C charging port set. The necessary preparation is integrated as standard in the base of all modules. The USB-C charging port set is optional and must be ordered separately. Only suitable for COOMO modules used indoors.

The cabling system is designed so that multiple modules can be powered from a single electrical connection.
A recess in the lower part of each COOMO module allows for easy and clean cable routing between several modules.
