Where rail meets road the edilon)(sedra Corkelast® LCS (Level Crossing System) is a unique solution bringing together elastically supported rails with stable constructed roadways.

Combining the powerful features of edilon)(sedra Corkelast® ERS (Embedded Rail System) with a standardized prefabricated edilon)(sedra LCS Concrete Slab, the system forms a monolithic unit of track, rail fastening and roadway, enabling road vehicles to safely cross the railway on the same level, while ensuring the highest degree of durability.

The continuous rail support eliminates variation in support stiffness, which is an advantage over discrete rail supports. It improves wheel-rail interaction and decreases wear rates.

The concrete slab with its substantial mass and its continuous support works as an absorber for low and mid frequency vibrations caused by rail and road traffic. It reduces noise and vibration radiation, which is particularly important in urban areas.
