Bending Strength | 3.7 MPa |
Colour | Manufactured stone is available in 8 basic shades and some special colours, all can be mixed together and with any other pattern in the collection, excluding the Panel pattern and the Castle profile which, due to their shape and colour cannot be mixed. The stone colour in nature is the result of an almost infinite range of hues and shades, similarly numerous variables characterize the colour in the Geopietra® collection-from the range of stone shades to installation, from the colour of grout (5 colours and 2 different grain sizes for GeoBi) to the grouting method. |
Compressive Strength | 21,6 MPa |
Finish Material | GEOPIETRA® makes the most believable eco-friendly manufactured stone veneer in the world. Geopietra® is a mix of Portland cement concrete, lightweight aggregates and permanent mineral oxide-based colours. The stone is manufactured using natural raw materials only and each stone is coloured by hand with great care and transformed into a product of superior craftsmanship, which is absolutely unique. When installed Geopietra® achieves the highest degree of excellence and becomes inimitable. The range of patterns includes 46 different types of manufactured stone veneer, with 6 different MASONRY PROFILES: Ledge stone, Opus Incertum, Square, Spontaneous, Castle and Panel. The collection is complemented with Terrakotta brick slips composed of manufactured brick slips and natural brick slips, with endless combinations. |
Integral Finish | The innovative GEOBI two-component mortar (dry/wet) which is ideal for finishing off Geopietra® manufactured stone veneer and brick wall coverings, and is suitable for indoors and outdoors. All GeoBi colours selected from typical soils and mortars in Europe have been standardised for use with various Geopietra models and shades. GEOBI two-component mortar is available in 6 colours: SABBIA, MARCHE, TOSCANA, GRIGIO CHIARO, GRIGIO and ARENA and 2 grain sizes: fine grain 0-3 mm and coarse grain 3-8 mm. Thanks to its versatility it meets the most varied aesthetic requirements, ranging from rustic charm to smooth textures. GeoBi mortar has ideal flow characteristics for injecting joints using a piping bag. At the right consistency it doesn’t drip and dirty the stone, doesn’t shrink and crack when drying, and adheres perfectly to stone walls and bases. Traditional mortars or other ready-mixed products are not suitable. |

Method Of Attachment | Geopietra® will be bonded using a specific GEOCOLL® system mortar, based on natural hydraulic lime, produced according to EN998-1. GEOCOLL® is a special system levelling glue with normal setting, made from natural hydraulic lime, which gives excellent mechanical and elastic properties, high strength, great vapour permeability and no vertical slippage. Geocoll® is the result of years of experience and advanced research to solve installation problems and provide fitters with a product that can meet the specific technical requirements of Geopietra® manufactured stone veneer. Gluing manufactured stone and brick veneer onto various types of ready-prepared substrate. Suitable for both interior and exterior use. Quantity per bag 25 kg Average Consumption 9-10 kg/m2 |
Method Of Installation | PROCESS Gluing: apply a double coat of GEOCOLL® glue using the wet-on-wet technique, and spread it out on the entire back of the stone, in a thin levelling film on the wall to which the stone will be installed. The bonding time depends on the environmental temperature. Do not use a toothed trowel to spread the glue. Do not apply the glue in individual dots. Do not apply Geopietra® manufactured stone with the bonding techniques used for pottery and the like. Place the stone in position by pressing and moving it slightly to the right or left until any excess glue comes out and it adheres perfectly to the substrate. The simple placement of the stone against the substrate does not guarantee a firm adhesion. |
Panel Density | 1200 kg/m³ |
Panel Thickness | 30 mm — 70 mm |
Product Type | Manufactured Stone and Brick Veneer composed of lightweight aggregates, in order to be light, breathable and with low thermal conductivity |
