Royal Corinthian has manufactured exterior corbels and brackets for nearly 30 years from composite materials in place of solid wood, avoiding the rot, splitting, cracking, and insect damage that timber brackets are prone to over time. These architectural elements are sometimes referred to as outlookers, outriggers, or rafter tails, and are used under roof eaves, gable ends, porch overhangs, and window or door hoods to visually and structurally support an overhang while adding period detailing to a façade. BKT-series brackets are supplied in fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite construction, the same material used in Royal Corinthian's fiberglass columns and cornice, and can be left paint-grade or finished to match trim; the manufacturer also offers many of its bracket styles in PVC, synthetic stone, GFRC, and high-density polyurethane on request.

Because Royal Corinthian builds its own molds and CNC tooling in-house, BKT9x6x6 can also be produced at a modified size on request even though it ships as a standard item, and the manufacturer's in-house architectural staff can assist with specification for a given eave, gable, or overhang condition.
