COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility with VELUX roof windows:
Roller shutter SSL-K can be installed in VELUX solar GGL and GGU, manual GGL, GGU, GPL, GPU, GHL, GHU, GZL, GLL, GLU, VU and VKU. If these windows are combined with additional window elements GID, GIL, GIR, GIU or GIV, it is not possible to fit the roller shutter. The roof pitch must be between 15° and 85°. As for sizes, please refer to the price list.
The roller shutter is also available made to measure.
SSL-K cannot be installed on windows produced before year 2000 (VES).
SSL-K cannot be installed on solar windows in size BK.
When installing SSL-K on GGL/GGU solar windows in size CK or FK the ZOZ 246K has to be used.
When installing SSL-K on solar windows between year 2000 and 2012 (V21), the ZOZ 246K has to be used on all sizes.
When installing SSL-K on manual windows upgraded with KSX 100 WWA produced before April 2021 the ZOZ 246K has to be used in all sizes.
The SSL-K is not compatible with manual windows upgraded with KSX 100 WWA produced after April 2021.
Combinations of several roof windows side by side require a frame distance of at least 18 mm. If the windows are combined over/under each other, the frame distance must be at least 100 mm.
Compatibility with other VELUX sunscreening products and electric or solar products:
The roller shutter can be combined with interior VELUX sunscreening products. Please note that if it is combined with solar-powered interior blinds, the ability of the solar cells to recharge the battery of the blind will be reduced or eliminated.
The roller shutter cannot be combined with other exterior sunscreening products.
The roller shutter is a stand-alone product on an io-homecontrol® operation platform.

Power consumption
High performance battery, NiMH, 9.6V DC, 2100 mAh.
The battery is an energy buffer for operation in periods with inadequate charging. A fully charged battery allows up to 200 operations. The roller shutter comes with a battery that must be switched on before operation.
Expected battery lifetime: 10 years.

Battery
The battery accumulates energy from the solar cell unit and supplies the motor and control system with power. A fully charged battery allows up to 200 operations without being charged via the solar cells. The roller shutter comes with an inserted battery that must be switched on before operation.

The roller shutter is a stand-alone product on an io-homecontrol® operation platform.

Top casing, side covers, side profiles and bottom cover: Lacquered aluminium.
For copper versions the side covers and bottom cover are in copper.
Top casing end pieces, opening restrictors and side profile bottom pieces: Tinted plastic.

The roller shutter can also be ordered in special RAL colours on request.
