Austrotherm is the specialist for high-quality and future-oriented thermal and acoustic insulation in Central and Eastern Europe. As a well-known and in many areas the only Austrian manufacturer of EPS and XPS insulation materials, facade profiles, sanitary interior finishing products (building boards), a consistent quality and innovation policy is used.

Good quality and optimal service is a status with the customers, which is not least thanks to the competent employees. Austrotherm is a pioneer in insulation materials in Austria. The company was founded in 1953 by Oswald Nowotny, the first Austrian to produce styrofoam. The Austrotherm Group consists of companies in 11 countries with 22 production sites and, like Baumit (facades, plasters, screeds) and Murexin (construction chemicals), belongs to the Schmid-Industrie-Holding.

Shortly after the east opening, Austrotherm was one of the first companies to enter the Eastern European market. Qualitative thermal insulation for the purpose of saving energy costs is becoming increasingly important there. With good thermal insulation, Austrotherm makes a contribution to increasing the quality of life.
