A UPS that grows with the load

The SLC ADAPT2 is a modular three-phase UPS for critical infrastructure, industrial applications and data centres pursuing Tier III or Tier IV availability. Built around 40 kVA power modules in a shared cabinet, it starts at 80 kVA with two modules and scales to 400 kVA with ten. The 480 V version brings the same modular approach to higher-voltage installations.

That matters when the load being designed for today is not the load the facility will carry in five years. Instead of oversizing a fixed UPS and paying for capacity that remains idle, specify the power required now and add modules as demand grows.

Redundancy designed for availability

Modules operate in parallel, so one can be removed for maintenance or fail while the remaining modules continue supporting the load. With the right system architecture, the SLC ADAPT2 helps build critical-power installations targeting up to six-nines availability (99.9999%).

This makes it a strong building block for resilient data-centre and industrial power systems, alongside the wider design of cooling, distribution and critical loads.

Clean power, efficient operation

The SLC ADAPT2 uses online double-conversion technology with a three-level IGBT inverter. Its output is fully regenerated rather than simply filtered, helping connected equipment receive clean, stable power even when the incoming supply is disturbed.

With an output power factor of 1, the kVA and kW ratings are the same: a 240 kVA system provides 240 kW of usable power, without derating. Input power factor is greater than 0.99 and input current distortion is THDi less than 3%, reducing the impact on upstream infrastructure.

For improved operating efficiency, the UPS includes Eco and Smart-efficiency modes.

Battery flexibility and monitoring

The SLC ADAPT2 is compatible with PbCa, NiCd, flooded lead-acid, VRLA gel and lithium-ion batteries. Its Batt-Watch battery-care system supports battery monitoring and management throughout the installation’s service life.

Designed for practical installation and service

A 7-inch touchscreen and LED indicators provide clear local status information. Rear connections support either top or bottom cable entry, while the double rear door or rear cover helps optimise space in the electrical room.

Every configuration requires 650 mm of clearance at the front and 500 mm at the rear for maintenance access. No side clearance is required, allowing cabinets to be installed directly next to one another or against a wall. Cabinet footprints range from 980 × 600 mm for the 80 kVA version to 1,065 × 1,300 mm for the 400 kVA version, with heights from 1,150 to 2,020 mm.

The Revit family is classified as Electrical Equipment and includes all five configurations as selectable types.
