BIMobject, the world’s largest BIM content platform is returning to BIM World Paris with its unique use of shared space called the BIMobject Hub. The Hub, located on spaces H21-G20, will showcase 15 different manufacturers—Balsan, Bel’M, Buzon, Dormakaba, Franke, K. Line, Lippi, ODF, Presto, Sapa, Sunstyle, Swao, Systovi, Xella and Zilten.
“We tried this new BIMobject Hub concept in 2019 featuring some manufacturers that have partnered with us,” said Michaëlle Pesah, director of BIMobject, France and Polantis. “It was very successful. Visitors could interact with both BIMobject and manufacturers, asking questions about their journey through digitalization, their choice of development or publishing.”
BIMobject.com enables building product manufacturers (BPMs) to showcase their products to 1.7 million users, where those products can be specified and procured into construction projects. BPMs can review user profile information, find out what file types were used and see how many downloads have been accumulated. Designers can select from nearly 1,600 brands that represent 480,000 actual parametric objects. The BIM objects become shared knowledge that forms a reliable basis for decision-making during the entire lifecycle of a project—from conception to demolition.
The BIMobject Hub gives attendees the chance to experience the exhibit, watch demonstrations and partake in impromptu conversations. Over the two day event— July 7 & 8, 2020—each one of the manufacturers will perform a 30-minute live demonstration on how to use their actual BIM products in a digital environment. A BIMobject specialist will co-chair each segment and answer any questions. This year’s manufacturers represent the diversity of content on BIMobject.com; joinery, doors, windows, sanitary facilities, landscaping, fencing, floors, electrical, solar panels and more.
For the last five years, BIM World Paris and its partners are advocates for bringing the construction, real estate and infrastructure sectors into the digital era. They’ve been successful in “pushing the envelope” and constitute one of the most dynamic ecosystems in Europe in the digital transition. The two-day event at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles is made up of 12,000 participants, 350 exhibitors, and 1,500 congessists. This year’s objective is to offer pragmatic answers to such issues as: How can digital operations contribute to an organization’s productivity? How can it contribute to its competitiveness? And what technologies in the workplace will be affected?

“Franke Water Systems is proud to be in the BIMobject Hub this year, said Sébastien Lepicard, managing director at Franke. “It’s a great opportunity for us to meet the major players in the building sector and demonstrate our BIM solutions.”
