Main Lines of Seismic Protection Devices

The range of devices for the seismic protection of structures mainly consists of isolators and dampers (other devices are also included in the product line).

Seismic isolators: their function is to support the structural load, increase the natural period of the structure, thereby reducing seismic forces, and dissipate energy.

• HDRB – High Damping Rubber Bearings (elastomeric isolators)
• Sliding isolators (Friction Pendulum systems)

Seismic dampers: their primary function is to dissipate seismic energy and can be of fluid dynamic, viscous, or hysteretic types.
