Electric roller shutter SML-K is fitted on the outside of VELUX roof windows. The roller shutter is recommended for use on GGL/GGU electric roof windows. If used on manually operated roof windows, a power supply unit KUX 110 must be ordered and installed separately.

In replacement situations where an older shutter is being upgraded to the SML-K, the ZOZ 262K kit is required.The ZOZ 262K kit is also necessary for installations on windows before 2012.

COMPATIBILITY
Compatibility with VELUX roof windows:
Roller shutter SML-K can be installed in VELUX electric GGL and GGU, manual GGL, GGU, GPL, GPU, GHL, GHU, GZL, GLL, GLU, VU and VKU. If these windows are combined with additional window elements GID, GIL, GIR, GIU or GIV, it is not possible to fit the roller shutter. The roof pitch must be between 15° and 85°. As for sizes, please refer to the price list. The roller shutter is also available made to measure.
Combinations of several roof windows side by side require a frame distance of at least 18 mm. If the windows are combined over/under each other, the frame distance must be at least 100 mm.
SML-K cannot be installed on windows produced before year 2000.
Compatibility with other VELUX sunscreening products and electric or solar products:
The roller shutter can be combined with interior VELUX sunscreening products and electric or solar window operators. Please note that if the roller shutter is combined with solar-powered interior blinds, the ability of the solar cells to recharge the battery of the blind will be reduced or eliminated.
The roller shutter cannot be combined with other exterior sunscreening products. Can be installed from both inside and outside.

Installation and use
A pre-configured one-way radio frequency wall switch (KLI 313) is included. Radio frequency range: 300 m range open field. Depending on the building construction, the indoor range is approximately 30 m.

Connection
The roller shutter is delivered with a short motor cable for direct connection to the connection box in electric roof windows GGL/GGU. When using a longer cable, please observe the following minimum wiring dimensions: Length up to 20 m: at least 0.75 mm2 Length up to 40 m: at least 1.50 mm2

Top casing, side covers, side profiles, panzer and bottom cover: Lacquered aluminium, grey (NCS 7500-N). -Top casing end pieces, opening restrictors and side profile bottom pieces: Tinted plastic, grey (NCS 7500-N). -Top casing strip: Tinted plastic, black. -Textile in panzer, polyester with a TPU coating. The roller shutter can also be ordered in special RAL colours on request.
