ComfortTherm® Fiberglass Insulation

Johns Manville ComfortTherm poly-encapsulated thermal and acoustical fiberglass insulation is fully wrapped in a perforated polyethylene film for dust-free, itch-free installation. Offered in precut batts and rolls with R-values up to R-30, it suits wood-frame, engineered wood, and steel-frame construction in both new builds and retrofits — particularly applications where contractor comfort and clean handling are priorities.

The lightweight fiberglass core is made of long, resilient glass fibers bonded with a bio-based binder and is formaldehyde-free. The plastic wrap can serve as a vapor barrier; a non-vapor-barrier version is available for hot, humid climates. ComfortTherm controls heat transfer, reduces sound transmission, and is non-corrosive to pipes, wiring, and metal studs.
