The VELUX electric 230 V, centre-pivot roof window GGU is a wired solution that connects seamlessly to any switch range or integrates effortlessly with any building management system - with flexibility built around your needs. Designed for both in-reach and out-of-reach installations, it features a silent, integrated motor and a built-in rain sensor that automatically closes the window when it starts to rain.

The window is operated electrically from a standard switch (not included with the product). The window operator permits a maximum opening of 200 mm The chain engages and disengages automatically when the window is closed. The window can be manually operated with the control bar on the ventilation flap from a fully closed position. The window can only be operated manually when the electrical motor has not been engaged.

The core of the maintenance-free windows is a combination of Thermally Modified Timber (TMT), plywood and polyurethane. TMT is timber that has been heat-treated to evaporate the majority of its moisture content. This leaves air holes which improve the thermal efficiency of the timber and its stuctural stability. The polyurethane is then moulded around the timber to produce the finished shape.

The window can be installed in roof pitches between 15° and 90° to the horizontal. Note: When the window is used manually, a combination of roof pitches, window sizes, cover materials and accessories might hinder parking of the sash in some open positions.
