BE_VMZINC_Standing seam_Warm_Facade_Over MINERAL WOOL insulation

This non-ventilated cladding system allows ZINC PLUS standing seam cladding to be installed on a continuous insulating substrate of rigid mineral wool. Non-ventilated cladding is a composite system that does not require a ventilation gap beneath the zinc. The zinc is therefore installed directly onto its substrate. This requires the use of ZINC PLUS. VMZINC’s ZINC PLUS is coated on the underside with a white protective layer of organic composition which provides resistance to abrasion caused by the expansion of the zinc at the fixing points. Installation is simplified as there is no need for ventilation inlets or outlets.

The standing seam is aesthetic, modern, and offers uniform, low-profile joints (25 mm high with a thickness of 5 mm).

Packaging: The zinc is delivered in rolls to be profiled or in preformed strips on demand.

Surface aspects: ZINC PLUS 0,7mm and 0,8mm (available in Naturel PLUS, QUARTZ-ZINC® PLUS, ANTHRA-ZINC® PLUS, PIGMENTO® PLUS, AZENGAR® PLUS and lacquered Zinc PLUS), together with the entire product range, are classified A1 and do not contribute to fire spread. Lacquered finishes are classified A2. The cladding system achieves a fire classification of C-s3,d1 or B-s3,d1 in accordance with SBI test report 2390C WRGENT. According to the test conditions, the insulation must achieve at least a D reaction-to-fire classification.

Application:
New build and renovation projects, with simple or complex forms. Buildings with indoor climate classes 1, 2 and 3. Heigt of the building superior of 25m.
Standard Dimensions:
Effective width: 430mm and 530mm
Tray length: The maximum panel length is 4 m on façades and between 0.5 m and 2 m on soffits.
Fixings: Stainless steel fixed clips (with spacer) and sliding clips (with load-distribution plate), specially designed for this system and mechanically fixed with screws. Clips shall be installed at 330 mm centres
Insulation: Rigid rock wool insulation (e.g. Rockmax Sigma by Rockwool), with a minimum fire rating of Class A2 and a maximum thickness of 160 mm when installed on a concrete substrate. The insulation has a compressive strength of at least 40 kPa at 10 per cent deformation.
ClassDoP and environmental: Environmental certifications and sustainability schemes: HQE (France – High Environmental Quality), BREEAM (United Kingdom – BRE Environmental Assessment Method), IBU certification (Germany – Institut Bauen und Umwelt), and LEED (United States – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
