BE_VMZINC_Standing seam_Warm_Facade_VM_FIRE_BARRIER PLUS_A2_Over WOOD PANELS

This non-ventilated cladding system allows ZINC PLUS standing seam cladding to be installed on a continuous timber substrate covered with the VM FIRE BARRIER PLUS A2 membrane. Non-ventilated cladding is a composite system that does not require a ventilation gap beneath the zinc. The zinc is therefore installed directly onto the substrate. This requires the use of ZINC PLUS. VMZINC’s ZINC PLUS is coated on the underside with a white protective layer of organic composition which provides resistance to abrasion caused by the expansion of the zinc at the fixing points. Installation is simplified as there is no need for ventilation inlets or outlets.

The standing seam is aesthetic, modern, and offers uniform, low-profile joints (25 mm high with a thickness of 5 mm).

Packaging: The zinc is delivered in rolls to be profiled or in preformed strips on demand.

Surface aspects: ZINC PLUS 0,7mm and 0,8mm (available in Naturel PLUS, QUARTZ-ZINC® PLUS, ANTHRA-ZINC® PLUS, PIGMENTO® PLUS, AZENGAR® PLUS and lacquered Zinc PLUS), together with the entire product range, are classified A1 and do not contribute to fire spread. Lacquered finishes are classified A2. The cladding system achieves a fire classification of C-s3,d1 or B-s3,d1 in accordance with SBI test report 2390C WRGENT. According to the test conditions, the insulation must achieve at least a D reaction-to-fire classification.

The use of the chosen aspect may not be suitable for certain applications in the context of very aggressive environmental constraints. It is recommended, if necessary, to consult the VM Building Solutions services for further information.

Application:
New build and renovation projects, with simple or complex forms. Buildings with indoor climate classes 1, 2 and 3. Heigt of the building between 10m and 25m.
Standard Dimensions:
Effective width: 430mm and 530mm
Tray length: The maximum panel length is 4 m on façades and between 0.5 m and 2 m on soffits.
Fixings: Fixing with fixed and sliding stainless steel clips, either screwed (clips with dimples) or nailed (clips without dimples) (see the VMZINC Standing Seam Façade Guide).
Solid and continuous substrate: The solid, continuous substrate to which the zinc is fixed may be of various types (wood or wood-based materials). It must have a minimum thickness of 15 mm and must be certified for use on façades. OSB boards must be at least Class 3 and multiplex boards must be at least Class 2.
Insulation: PUR or PIR insulation, with a minimum fire rating of Class D and a maximum thickness of 120 mm on a concrete substrate.
ClassDoP and environmental: Environmental certifications and sustainability schemes: HQE (France – High Environmental Quality), BREEAM (United Kingdom – BRE Environmental Assessment Method), IBU certification (Germany – Institut Bauen und Umwelt), and LEED (United States – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
Fire Resistance: Complies with requirements for:
Buildings with indoor climate classes 1, 2 and 3.
Medium-rise buildings 10 m < h < 25 m, (B-s3,d1)
Low-rise buildings h < 10 m, Type 1(C-s3,d1 and D-s3,d1)
