Byarums Bruk

We are a Swedish aluminium foundry based in Småland, specialising in cast aluminium products for parks, gardens and urban spaces. In close collaboration with designers, we develop and manufacture durable benches, planters and other outdoor products that combine functional design with artistic expression.

Our products are made to withstand the Nordic climate and last for generations. Sustainability is an integral part of our approach: when a product reaches the end of its life, the aluminium can be recycled, melted down and transformed into new products. By combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative design, we create long-lasting solutions for public and outdoor spaces.

Esplanadpark, Helsinki

WSP Finland was commissioned to widen the pavements along the Esplanadpark, designed by Carl Ludvig Engel in the early 1800s. With just seven months from brief to opening, both the public and local businesses were invited to a workshop to shape the result.
Byarums Bruk's products were part of the inspiration material from the start. On site you'll find sofas and benches from the Jujol series, a gold-coloured Classic sofa, Blom planters filled with historically inspired plants, and Arkus cycle stands.
Every choice reflects the park's origins and the character of the surrounding facades.
