SPONDINA is an accessory element of the CUPOLEX® system of Pontarolo Engineering spa. SPONDINA acts as a lateral closing element of the aerated flooring system CUPOLEX, in order to prevent the concrete to enter the hollowed space of the system. SPONDINA can be used as an alternative of the patented accessory BETON STOP.

SPONDINA accessory is used to prevent the concrete from entering the sides of the aerated slab during casting (in case of no use of the accessory BETON STOP, side compensator and closing element). Building the aerated floor including the upper concrete slab by placing, on a prepared plane surface, the CUPOLEX® plastic elements of Pontarolo Engineering SpA from San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy, with dimension of 56x56 cm (or 71x71 cm for CUPOLEX® elements with height from 55 to 70 cm) and variable height (different measures available) with curved or flat dome shape having a central cone with vertices down (elements with height from 55 to 70 cm don’t have a central cone). These elements, mutually connected, will be able to receive a concrete cast of class C (various RCK), the concrete geometry formed presents a matrix of small pillars, with a distance of 56 cm (71 cm for elements with a height of 55 to 70 cm and 28 cm for elements with a height of 9.5), sustaining the slab. The resulting hollow space underneath will be suitable for ventilation and/or pipe passage or other.
