Eterno Ivica is today a company that makes innovation its method. We design and manufacture solutions for construction and architecture that make the work of those who build simpler, safer and better to look at — often starting from what cannot be seen: the right support, in the right place.
We come from an insight born in 1955, when Ruggero Favero tackled a concrete problem — making roofs truly watertight — and came out of it with something new. From there, two patents changed the way we build: the thermoplastic rubber roof outlet and the world’s first pedestal for raised floors with a self-levelling head. This is how we work: looking ahead and standing alongside those who build, with solutions designed for the people who install them every day.
From that origin we took a clear direction and have followed it with consistency. Research and development are the engine of everything: every range — raised floors, drainage, waterproofing and, with Phonolook, acoustic comfort — comes from the same question: how can it be done better? This is how we became the market leader in pedestals for raised floors.
Our products and our service reach more than 60 countries, through a widespread network of branches and partners that brings technical assistance and know-how where it is needed, when it is needed. Along with our products, we bring a way of working.

Above, the surface. Below, the system.
A flat roof becomes a usable terrace when the walking surface stays perfectly level and everything that makes it work finds its place beneath it. That is exactly what this detail shows: large-format porcelain stoneware slabs laid on Pedestal supports, above the waterproofing membrane, with the building services running through the cavity below. The adjustable supports take up the falls of the substrate and give back a level floor, while underneath the slope keeps guiding water to drainage. Between the membrane and the slabs, a technical void takes shape — housing cables, conduits and pipework for electrical, water, irrigation and lighting systems, all kept tidy, protected and reachable at any time. Aluminium profiles reinforce the edges and distribute loads, for a solid surface even with large formats. It is a system that works on several levels: Levelling. Support height adjusts to compensate for falls and achieve a perfectly horizontal walking surface. Inspectable technical void. The cavity accommodates services and pipework, which stay protected and accessible for maintenance and future work. Ventilation and drainage. Water drains through the joints and across the membrane, air circulates beneath the slabs: the surface stays dry and stable. Dry-laid and reversible. Each slab lifts and repositions with ease, to inspect the membrane or upgrade the services; at end of life, components are recovered and reused. Protection of the waterproofing. The floor floats above the membrane and shields it from solar radiation, foot traffic and thermal shock, extending its life. What you walk on is the surface. What makes it possible, and makes it last, is the system beneath. This is where we provide support: to those who design and those who install.
