This layout pattern uses the permeable and green carriageway surfacing system designed by O2D ENVIRONNEMENT® :
•  TTE® MultidrainPlus to fill with TTE® concrete paving and to grass
•  A fertile, drainage-enhanced and load-bearing foundation material designed for light vehicle parking (c.f. technical information included in the Specifications)

A staggered layout pattern is employed (grid dimensions: 80 x 40 cm), and physical edging structures are provided.

The layout pattern consists of a check paving/grass infill thanks to the TTE® concrete paving and a grassing in situ. The TTE® system is modular: a single base structure accommodates different infill options (paving/grass/gravel).

The check paving/grass allows to obtain 50% of vegetation on the surface of the permeable parking space.

This layout pattern can also be applied to light vehicule access roads or emergency service access roads (with the adapted load-bearing level of foundations).

TTE® green systems provide multiple benefits:
      - Technical advantages: optimum load-bearing and load distribution capabilities (exceptional static load resistance: 10 Newtons/mm², equivalent to 1,000 tonnes/m²), optimum protection of the root system of grass provided by a 14 mm cellular wall thickness and substrate filling to a level of -1 cm
      - Applications: flexibility of design and adaptability to applications associated with the versatility of infills
      - Environmental benefits: conservation of water resources, greening of spaces, promotion of the biodiversity of soils, reduction of the urban heat island effect

TTE® MultidrainPlus grids constitute an eco-material generated by a high-grade recycling system, produced from recycled household wastes (using the German DUAL system). Recycled, recyclable and reversible, this material contributes to the achievement of a circular economy. The permeable surfacing systems developed by O2D ENVIRONNEMENT are recommended in the context of eco design projects, incorporating the natural infiltration of rainwater and the provision of green surfaces.

  • Technical information on the fertile foundation material for light vehicle parking with a grass/paver infill

    Composition :
    •  15 cm thickness: TP GREEN soil and stone foundation material
         o 75% crushed material of particle size 20/40 mm
         o 25% organic substrate (topsoil/washed sand/compost) of particle size 0/10 mm
    •  3 cm thickness: LP GREEN fertile bedding course
     o 60% crushed material of particle size 4/6 mm
         o 20 % topsoil/loam mixture of particle size 0/10 mm
         o 20% sand of particle size 0/4 mm

    Prepared base/sub-base (-23 cm in relation to level 0):
    •  The requisite permeability below this foundation system is such that K > 10-6 m/s
    •  The load-bearing level required is such that EV2 > 60 MPa (EV2/EV1 < 2)
    •  We recommend the installation of a permeable anti-contaminant geotextile membrane

    This fertile foundation material composition ensures both load-bearing and drainage capabilities, and provides the requisite nutrients for the effective rooting of grass. It is recommended that the thickness of the sub-base (for example, 20/40 mm crushed drainage gravel) should be adjusted and/or any other facility should be incorporated, if the natural ground surface does not possess the requisite infiltration properties, or for the satisfaction of project design requirements. The load-bearing level should be appropriate to the intended application.
