SentryPlus Alert® Technology Connection Kits for Backflow Preventer Flood Protection, Pressure Monitoring and Freeze Detection

SentryPlus Alert® technology provides multiple solutions for protection, detection, and notification. Select backflow preventer assemblies are equipped for automatic flood protection signaling excessive relief valve discharge, which could be worsened by a blocked or undersized drain and cause costly damage. Other select assemblies paired with the technology deliver solutions for pressure monitoring and for freeze detection.

Series LFF113FP Flood Protection Shutdown Control Valves help guard against property damage by continuously monitoring for excessive RPZ backflow relief valve discharge and closing the water supply automatically during potential flood conditions.

Flood Detection - Implementing the SentryPlus Alert system on reduced pressure zone and reduced pressure detector assemblies equipped with a flood sensor adds a multichannel alert function triggering one or more notification methods (email message, SMS text message, voice call) to help facility personnel prevent discharges that could reach ruinous levels. To enable flood detection capabilities, activate the flood sensor with the add-on Sensor Connection Kit. For use with BMS or cellular communication network. An upgrade option for flood detection, the Air Gap Flood Sensor Connection Kit works on any RPZ assembly system including a metal air gap with a female 2 inch NPT connection. The sensor is attached to the base of the air gap and is triggered when relief valve discharges exceed 3 gpm. This kit includes both sensor and activation components. Available for BMS and cellular communication.

Pressure Monitoring - Assess the performance of select backflow preventer assemblies including sensor technology integrated on test cocks to measure pressure fluctuations at three points. On Series LF007 and LF709 Model IOT with NRS gates only. Suitable for non-fire protection applications. An add-on monitoring connection kit is required to collect, convert, and transmit data values. Available for BMS. Sensor module replacement kit available.

Freeze Detection - Protect small diameter devices from freeze conditions with sensor-driven temperature monitoring to signal facility personnel when temperature nears and reaches the freezing point. Freeze alerts feature available with add-on connection kit for building management systems (BMS), irrigation management systems (IMS), and Wi-Fi networks. On select devices only. Standalone freeze sensor replacement kit available.
