We are following up the success of our popular Shell stool with the new Shell chair (Note 2018). The underlying thinking behind the design has been to find the right balance between the distinctive lines of the stool and a chair that projects its own unique identity. The aim has been to retain the subtle curves of the seat shell and the construction of the frame with its slightly angled legs. The chair provides a comfortable seating angle and an ideal degree of flexibility that follows the contours of the body and responds to its movements.

Depending on how you choose to combine seat shell, textiles and surface finish, you can change the personality of Shell to blend seamlessly into its surroundings. Such versatility means that Shell can be used in virtually any setting you wish. The chair makes a handsome match with many of Karl Andersson & Söner’s tables and, thanks to its comfort and sleek lines, Shell is an ideal choice of chair in canteens, lunchrooms, restaurants and cafés. The chair is manufactured in oak, birch, ash, standard colors, standard stains on ash and white glazed oak or ash.
